My Weekend, by Natasha Squires
During the weekend, I don't do much, but this weekend, this INCREDIBLE, SEXY, weekend, has been much more eventful than usual.
I'll start off with Friday. Friday was just like every other Friday: kids were tired, cranky, ready to slack off for the next few days. But there were a couple of gnarly kids anticipating a spectacle. A spectacle of great portions of meat: a Windom Earle show.
The show, like many others, was held at the Basilica rec Center. My mother dropped me off in front at around 6:00pm, where I met up with a bunch of my friends, and saw Megan, with her purple and pink hair, being cool. I was amazed by her hair, and Shannon's, which was allll chopped off.
Oh, and what a great show it was. Well... part of it was great. The ever metamorphing Fleur and I went to the mall at the first of the show, and came back just in time for Land For Living. What a great punk band they are. Very fast, very loud. In other words: sexy.
After waiting for oh-so-long, Windom Earle finally played. They were fun, energetic, dance-tastic. I adored them, but, I had to leave early in their set, which made me very angsty and homicidal.
On Saturday, I went to Charlottetown with my mother, and we went to the mall. I just had to browse in Radioland and see all their new t-shirts. I must say, last week, the selection was pretty dingy. All they need is some medium AFI shirts, and I'm all set. I was so enthralled by all of the CDs surrounding me, I just had to get some. So, I bought a compilation CD by various punk artists called "Hopelessly Devoted to You Vol.IV" and another by a very cool. very Canadian. Very... Metric :). Old World Underground, Where are you Now?" I think the title of the CD was.
And today, which is Sunday, I went to Kylea's house, and we had fun.
